Guided Bike Tour Salento Puglia
1 day - Arrival day. Transfer (not included) from airport towards LECCE. Accomodation at your hotel/B&B. Meeting with tour leader. Overnight.
2 day - Meeting with tour leader. Bike delivery, briefing of the route. We will visit the beautiful city of Lecce, birthplace of the Baroque Salentino, we will cross by bike the streets of the beautiful old town: the greek amphitheater, the cathedral, the Basilica of Santa Croce. In the late morning we will continue towards Galatina about 25k away and visit the Mother Church. Arrival in Gallipoli (24k) in the late afternoon. Accommodation at your hotel/B&B. Overnight.
3 day - Route: we will proceed in a southerly direction along the beautiful coast of Salento, bathed by the waters of the Ionian Sea, to reach the Ugento's beaches (22k): possibility to stop and relax on the beach making kissing by Salento's sun. In the afternoon we will pedaling towards SANTA MARIA LEUCA (28k). Overnight at your hotel/B&B. Overnight.
4 day - Route: Let Leuca's Cape, the extreme heel of Italy and of the boot of Salento, we will start cycling towards north, along the beautiful rugged coasts of Salento, washed by the waters of the Adriatic Sea up to Castro (28k ) where we can admire the medieval village and the Zinzulusa's cave. Arrival in OTRANTO (25k) in the late afternoon, accommodation at your hotel/B&B. Overnight.
5 day - Itinerary: we will cycling in Otranto and visiting its Aragonese Castle and the beautiful cathedral, with its magnificent rose window, and will continue to the Alimini's lakes (10k), ponds of fresh water flowing into the sea, until we will reach Torre dell'Orso(10k). We will have the opportunity to relax on the beach. Arrival in Lecce (25k) in the late afternoon, accommodation at your hotel/B&B. Overnight.
6 day - Breakfast and end of services
